Work Based Learning

For my 3 minute wonder, I intend to make a documentary piece about "Imperfect Cinema". Imperfect Cinema is collaboration between Allister Gall and Dan Paolantonio as part of their practice based post-graduate research and takes inspiration from DIY punk, and  aims to “to socialise a free, democratic short-form cinema by valorising do-it-yourself ethics.” (http://imperfectcinema.com/?page_id=131)
Four, three minute will make up the series and each will provide an insight into the background of Imperfect Cinema, how it is organized, how it has affected the people that attend the events and what the future may hold for Imperfect Cinema.  I hope to does this through using a combination of Interviews with Dan Paolantonio and Allister Gall, footage of one, or possibly more, of the events, footage shot by Imperfect Cinema (all of which is un-copy-righted) and footage of setting up one such events and talking to someone who is going to screen a film at various points leading to and after they’ve screened their film at Imperfect Cinema. To make each episode interesting, each will be on and about a different aspect of Imperfect Cinema, for instance the parts about setting up one of the events will be one episode and the parts about someone showing something at Imperfect Cinema and how it affects people will be another episode.  Each episode should be quite cheap to make and shouldn’t need much of a crew or equipment. We have easy access to Dan and Allister and permission to film shouldn’t be any problem.
